Job summary

Contemporary Catering in Melbourne, a family-owned catering company serving aged care facilities, is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant. The role involves serving meals with warmth, helping with simple food prep, and setting up and clearing away after service.

Shifts run across 7 days from 6:30am to 8:00pm, offering flexibility. Prior hospitality experience is valued but not mandatory; a food safety certificate is recommended, and checks/vaccinations may be required by facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality is valued but not required.
• Certificate in food safety recommended.
• Must be able to obtain National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Fully vaccinated, including COVID-19 booster, as required by the aged care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.

The role of a Food Service Assistant in an Aged Care facility is busy as it is rewarding.

You will be required to,

• provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.
• assist with basic food preparation.
• set up for meal service and clean down afterwards etc.

Part-time positions available, and shifts are offered throughout all 7 days to suit your availability from 6:30am to 8:00pm

Prior hospitality experience is highly valued but not mandatory. A certificate in food safety is recommended. Additionally, you may be required to hold a National Police Check or a NDIS Worker Screening Check, as well as be fully vaccinated (including the COVID-19 booster) in accordance with the requirements of the aged care facility at which you work.
