Job summary

Greystones Recruitment is seeking reliable Kitchen Attendants to support our client's commercial kitchens across multiple venues in Melbourne.

You will wash pots and utensils, operate a commercial dishwasher, and maintain benches, equipment and floors with a strong focus on food safety. The role requires teamwork, flexibility across day, evening and function shifts at venues such as Docklands, Richmond and Ivanhoe.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Ability to operate a commercial dishwasher.
• Ability to wash pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Basic food preparation skills.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
• Food safety training where required.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwasher.
• Clean and maintain kitchen benches, equipment and floors.
• Assist with basic food preparation.

• Ability to clean and maintain kitchen benches, equipment and floors
• Safe handling and use of commercial cleaning chemicals
• Ability to manage rubbish and food waste appropriately
• Ability to follow instructions from chefs and supervisors
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented
• Do Food Safely / food safety training where required

Availability

Shifts may include:

• Day shifts: approximately 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, including Docklands venues
• Functions: shifts at various function venues, including Richmond and Ivanhoe
• Evening shifts: available at selected venues, including Richmond and Ivanhoe
• Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and functions is highly desirable.

Successful candidates must be comfortable working across different venues and adapting to different kitchen environments and service requirements.
