Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking experienced Kitchenhands / Servery staff for Aged Care facilities across Sydney and surrounding suburbs. Casual positions with variable hours and short-notice shifts, in busy kitchen environments requiring multitasking and composure under pressure.

You will provide food services to residents, follow policies and Food Safety Standards, and assist with cleaning. Key tasks include assembling meal trays, serving per dietary sheets, delivering meals on time,

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in a kitchen.
• Police clearance or willingness to obtain one before starting.
• Must have or be willing to obtain the 2026 influenza vaccination.
• Current drivers license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meal trays for residents according to daily menus.
• Serve meals following dietary sheets and portion controls.
• Deliver trays to residents on schedule and maintain food safety standards.
• Operate the dishwashing machine and manage clean-up across kitchen areas.

Job description

We are currently looking for experienced Kitchenhands / Servery staff to work within the main kitchen and serving areas of various Aged Care facilities located in Sydney and surrounding Suburbs.

These are casual positions, which means your hours will vary from week to week and shifts may be at short notice.

The kitchen environments are very busy so you must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

About the role

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role is to provide food services to residents in accordance with policies, procedures and Food Safety Standards. This role also requires cleaning of assigned areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assembly of meal trays for residents according to selections on daily menu lists
• Follow dietary sheets to serve residents the correct meal consistency
• Delivery of meal trays to residents according to the established time schedule
• Heating food to the appropriate levels before serving.
• Operation of dishwashing machine
• Stacking and storage of items after washing
• Clean specified fixtures, fittings and equipment while maintaining a tidy kitchen.
• Recording temperatures of food, fridge, freezers and dishwasher accurately.
• Labelling food and storing appropriately.
• Set up / pack away dining areas.
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.

To be successful you must have:

• At least 6 months experience working within a kitchen is required.
• A current police clearance or be willing to obtain one before commencing work.
• Received the 2026 Influenza vaccination (Flu Shot)
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport.
