Complete Staff Solutions is seeking experienced Kitchenhands / Servery staff to support Aged Care facilities across the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region.

These casual roles feature varying hours with morning and afternoon shifts in busy kitchen environments where multitasking and composure under pressure are essential.

Formación

• At least 6 months experience in a kitchen is required.
• Be able to work on your own at times.
• Must provide two recent work referees.
• Hold a current police clearance or be willing to obtain one.
• Hold a current driver's license and have reliable transport.
• Available for short-notice shifts, especially afternoons.

Responsabilidades

• Greeting residents and offering beverages.
• Taking food orders and serving accordingly.
• Following dietary sheets to ensure correct meal consistency.
• Preparing meal trays and delivering to residents' rooms.
• Assisting with basic food preparation and sandwiches.
• Heating food to appropriate levels and recording temperatures.
• Labeling and storing food appropriately.
• Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen.
• Set up and pack away dining areas.
• Wash and dry dishes and polish cutlery.

We are currently looking for experienced Kitchenhands / Servery staff to work within the main kitchen and serving areas of Aged Care facilities across the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region.

These are casual positions, which means your hours will vary from week to week and shifts may be at short notice. There are both morning and afternoon shifts available.

The kitchen environments are very busy so you must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Duties:

Greeting residents and offering them beverages, tea, coffee and cold beverages.

Taking their food orders from the menu and serving accordingly.

Follow dietary sheets to serve residents the correct meal consistency.

Preparing meal trays and delivering to the residents rooms.

Assisting with basic, general food preparation and making sandwiches.

Heating food to the appropriate levels before serving.

Recording temperatures of food, fridge, freezers and dishwasher accurately.

Labelling food and storing appropriately.

Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen.

Set up / pack away dining areas.

Wash and dry all dishes, polish cutlery and store correctly.

Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.

To be successful:

At least 6 months experience working within a kitchen is required.

You will be confident to work on your own at times.

You must be able to provide two recent work referees.

Hold a current police clearance or be willing to obtain one before commencing work.

Hold a current driver's licence and have reliable transport.

Must be available for short notice shifts often for afternoon work.

Australian work rights are required for this position.
