Job summary

Fairmont Aged Care in Bexley is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to support the Head Cook in preparing nutritious meals for residents. The role involves some cooking skills and close collaboration with the Catering team to meet dietary needs.

The position is permanent part-time, offering 5-7 hours per day across 3 or 4 days per week, with morning and afternoon shifts. There is potential for further education and promotion depending on facility requirements.

Qualifications

Experienced Kitchen Hand/Food Prep Attendant

Fairmont Aged Care is a small residential aged care facility in Bexley with public transport and on-street parking. The facility caters for 44residents.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand (preferably experience in aged care)to assist the Head Cook in serving nutritional meals for our residents. Some cooking skills are required. You would work closely with the Catering team to ensure thedietary needs of residents are met. There will also be an opportunity for further education and promotion, depending on the requirements of the facility.

The position is Permanent Part-Time, 5-7 hours per day, 3 OR 4 days per week. Morning and afternoon shifts are available.

• Food Safety Training HLTFS207c & SITXFSA01
• Experience in serving meals in aged care
• Previous cooking skills are preferred
• Experience with stock control
