Job summary

Cairns Community Kindergarten is a long-standing community kindergarten in Cairns, QLD. We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher who loves play-based learning and strong relationships, with a collaborative Co-Director to shape the next chapter of our kindergarten's story.

This role combines teaching and leadership in a supportive, relationship-focused environment with a strong emphasis on quality practice and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Current QCT registration.
• Early childhood teaching experience.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Passion for high-quality, play-based learning.
• Knowledge of NQF, NQS, EYLF, QKLG.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis).
• Current Blue Card.
• Completion of National Child Safety Training (Foundation & Advanced) prior to or shortly after commencement.
• Experience with C&K (desirable).

Established in 1972, Cairns Community Kindergarten is a warm, inclusive and child-centred community kindergarten with a beautiful connection to families and strong community governance. We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Kindergarten Teacher/ Co-Director to join our dedicated team and help shape the next chapter of our Kindergarten's story.

This position includes:

What you'll bring:
