Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton invites applications for a Kindergarten Assistant at St Anthony's Catholic Kindergarten, Rockhampton. This term-time contract supports teachers and students in a Catholic educational setting.

The role, commencing 19 October 2026 and finishing 4 December 2026 with potential extension, requires 19 hours per week across a 5-day fortnight, including Monday, Tuesday and alternating Wednesday. Applicants should align with the school’s ethos and values.

Qualifications

• A current Blue Card under WWC Act and valid Suitability Notice.
• Minimum Cert III in Children’s Services (or working towards); Diploma preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA approved).
• Completion of National Child Protection and Child Safety Training via Geccko platform.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities, lesson prep and resource organisation.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with additional needs.
• Monitor student progress and behaviour; provide feedback to teachers.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and organising materials.
