Secondary Teacher (Mathematics/Science/Humanities) - St Patrick's College

Position: Secondary Teacher (Mathematics/Science/Humanities), St Patrick's College

Start date: Term 4, 2026 (6th October 2026)

Employment Status: Full-Time

Salary: $86,600 - $147,048 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)

What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of St Patrick's College, Mackay. This is a full-time position to commence Term 4, 2026.

We welcome applications from registered teachers who can teach in any or a combination of the below subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Humanities

The role of a teacher is to provide quality education and care for secondary school students at St Patrick's College. The ideal candidate understands Catholic Education's mission, can design differentiated teaching strategies, uses data to guide improvement and collaborates effectively with colleagues, parents and the community.

It enjoys a rich history built on the Sisters of Mercy and Christian Brothers, St Patrick's College is a co-education Catholic College with a combined current enrolment of approximately 1500 students. Mandatory Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
