Job summary

Busy Bees Everton Hills is seeking a passionate and organised Chef to join our team on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children aged 0-5 years, in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Requirements include a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, previous chef or cook experience (childcare preferred), and a current Working with Children Check for QLD or willingness to obtain. Join our Bee Safe team focused on wellbeing and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef or Cook, childcare experience is highly regarded.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and strong kitchen hygiene knowledge.
• Current Working with Children Check (QLD) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines.
• Cater for allergies, intolerances, and cultural dietary requirements.
• Manage food ordering, budgeting, and stock control.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety Standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team.
• Contribute to children's learning around nutrition and healthy eating.
