Job summary

Busy Bees at Everton Hills is seeking a passionate Chef for a full-time role, 38 hours per week, 38 hours per week. You will plan and prepare healthy meals for children aged 0–5, catering for allergies, and managing stock in a Busy Bees kitchen environment.

The role requires food safety knowledge, strong organisation, and a genuine passion for child nutrition. Working with a supportive leadership team and accessible professional development opportunities, the position offers a stable daytime

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in childcare settings.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines.
• Cater for allergies, intolerances, and cultural dietary requirements.
• Manage food ordering, budgeting, and stock control.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety Standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team.
• Contribute to children’s learning around nutrition and healthy eating.
