Job summary

G8 Education Ltd is seeking a part-time Cook for Arthur Street Children's Centre in New South Wales to prepare nutritious meals for up to 79 children. The role is 15 hours per week with set shifts Mon-Fri, offering work-life balance and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include menu planning, budgeting, stock control, and ensuring dietary safety and clean kitchen practices in line with food safety regulations. Applicants must have relevant cook qualification and WWC check.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification with cook experience
• Current Working with Children’s Check
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to complete
• Commitment to providing nutritious meals and safe kitchen environment

Responsibilities

• Menu planning and budgeting for daily menus
• Stock ordering and inventory control
• Prepare meals and snacks for up to 79 children
• Ensure dietary and allergy safety
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with food safety regulations
• Work set shifts Monday to Friday
