Job summary

Munro Footwear Group, home to Bobux, is seeking a Product Developer to lead the development of children's footwear from concept through production for Bobux. You will manage specifications, materials, fit, and production timelines, working with offshore suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality ranges.

Based in Melbourne, you will coordinate fit sessions, ensure comfort and quality, and collaborate with Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to support successful range delivery.

Qualifications

• Footwear product development experience is essential.
• Experience in children's footwear development is essential.
• Understanding of footwear construction, materials, fit and manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing samples, product specifications and production requirements.
• Confidence working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve product, fit and quality issues.
• Excellent communication, administration and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple products and competing seasonal deadlines.
• Collaborative approach across different teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal children's footwear ranges from concept to production approval for Bobux.
• Prepare detailed product specifications including materials, colours, leathers, finishes and trims.
• Manage sampling and development processes to meet quality standards and timelines.
• Coordinate fit sessions and ensure comfort, fit and function for growing feet.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production specifications and product information.
• Work with offshore suppliers and manufacturers to monitor quality, timelines and production needs.
• Collaborate with Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to support range delivery.
