Job summary

Munro Footwear Group (MFG) is seeking a Product Developer to join the Product Development team, working across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux. You will move concepts through to production, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality and brand alignment.

You’ll manage fittings, sample specs and production timelines, while supporting sustainability initiatives and cross-brand collaboration to deliver trend-driven footwear ranges.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Product Development role.
• Footwear product development experience – highly regarded.
• Strong eye for product and design; understands trends.
• Experience managing samples, specifications and production requirements.
• Confidence working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication, administration and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple brands and seasonal deadlines.
• Collaborative approach across teams.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal footwear ranges from concept to production across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.
• Prepare range plans and detailed sample specifications (colours, leathers, finishes, trims).
• Manage sampling and development within critical path timelines.
• Review samples and communicate required changes with suppliers and the Product Development team.
• Conduct fit sessions from initial fit through to production sign-off.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production specifications and product information.
• Work with offshore suppliers to monitor quality, timelines and production requirements.
• Identify product or quality issues and implement practical solutions with partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to communicate product information.
• Support sustainability initiatives in product development.

At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a Product Developer to join our Product Development team, working across three of our brands – ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.

In this role, you will be working across multiple brands and seasonal ranges; you'll combine your technical product knowledge with strong organisation and supplier management skills to help bring commercially relevant, high-quality footwear to market.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll play a key role in developing seasonal footwear ranges across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.

From initial concepts through to production approval, you'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure products meet our quality standards, brand vision and critical path.

The role

• Develop seasonal footwear ranges from initial concept through to approved production across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux
• Prepare seasonal range plans and detailed sample specifications, including colours, leathers, finishes, trims and components
• Manage the sampling and development process, ensuring samples are delivered to the required quality and within critical path timelines
• Review samples, identify issues and communicate required changes with suppliers and the wider Product Development team
• Conduct fit sessions and manage the fitting process from initial fit through to production sign-off
• Prepare and maintain accurate production specifications and product information
• Work closely with offshore suppliers and manufacturers to monitor quality, timelines and production requirements
• Identify product or quality issues and work with the Product Development Manager and suppliers to implement practical solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Collaborate with internal teams including Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to communicate product information and support successful range delivery
• Support sustainability initiatives, including identifying opportunities to improve sustainable product development practices

About you

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys the detail involved in developing footwear and understands what it takes to move a product successfully from an idea through to production.

• Footwear product development experience – highly regarded
• A strong eye for product and design, with an understanding of current fashion and footwear trends
• Experience managing samples, product specifications and production requirements
• Confidence working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve product and quality issues
• Excellent communication, administration and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple brands, products and competing seasonal deadlines
• A collaborative approach and confidence working across different teams and stakeholders
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
