Job summary

Cleared is seeking an experienced Keycloak IAM Specialist to design, implement and enhance a distributed authentication platform. Working closely with technical leadership, you will deliver robust Keycloak configurations, authentication services, identity integrations and security controls that support modern enterprise and government environments.

This role focuses on hands-on identity work with Keycloak, OIDC, OAuth2, SAML and federation technologies to solve complex authentication and access

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Identity and Access Management or Security Engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on with Keycloak.
• Experience with OIDC, OAuth2 and SAML integrations.
• Federation and directory integrations.
• Strong understanding of SSO and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshooting authentication flows and token management.
• Experience in security-focused, regulated environments.
• Current NV2 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced Keycloak configurations supporting OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, SSO and identity brokering.
• Develop and maintain authentication solutions for distributed deployments.
• Integrate external identity sources, including LDAP and federated providers.
• Configure token transformation, claims mapping and access controls.
• Implement strong authentication patterns including MFA and certificate-based auth.
• Support configuration-as-code for repeatable deployments.
• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot authentication, federation and token issues.
• Support security hardening: auditing, logging, backup and recovery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure identity solutions.
