Job summary

Qualifications

This program is focused on the design and implementation of enterprise key management and secrets management solutions supporting highly secure operational environments.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Senior Solution Architects to lead the architecture, design and delivery of enterprise security solutions supporting key management, secrets management, identity services and cryptographic security capabilities.

Working across complex ICT environments, you will provide strategic technical leadership, drive secure solution design and collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient and compliant solutions aligned with government security requirements.

This role will suit architects with extensive experience delivering large-scale cyber security, infrastructure, cloud or enterprise transformation programs within highly regulated environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development of end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise key management and secrets management capabilities.
• Design secure architectures supporting cryptographic key lifecycle management, secret storage, certificate management and privileged access integration.
• Produce architecture artefacts including solution designs, integration patterns, infrastructure designs, technical roadmaps and security models.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technology assessments and option analyses.
• Provide architectural governance through design reviews, technical assurance activities and security assessments.
• Design secure integration patterns across applications, cloud services, container platforms and CI/CD environments.
• Develop migration strategies from legacy credential and key management platforms to modern centralised environments.
• Ensure compliance with government security frameworks and security standards.
• Lead proof-of-concept activities, pilot deployments and technical validation exercises.
• Support accreditation activities and contribute to security documentation and governance processes.
• Mentor architects, engineers and project teams while providing technical leadership across the program.

Education/Certifications Required

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Industry certifications in architecture, cloud, cyber security or enterprise architecture highly regarded.

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering solution architecture across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with enterprise key management, secrets management, PKI, cryptography, identity and access management solutions.
• Experience designing secure solutions across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Deep understanding of security architecture frameworks, enterprise architecture methodologies and systems integration principles.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, defence-in-depth and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience with high-availability, resilience and disaster recovery architectures.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executive, governance and technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience working within large government, defence or highly regulated environments.
