Job summary

HMPS in Adelaide is seeking a Junior Storeperson to support receipt, storage and dispatch of goods within a busy manufacturing and operations team. Qualifications

• Interest in building a career in warehousing, stores or logistics.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one (highly regarded).
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory systems.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and store incoming goods.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Assist with freight and courier movements.
• Support production by supplying parts and materials as required.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure items are labelled and stored.
• Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Keep warehouse and storage areas clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with returns, warranty items and non-conforming goods.
• Learn to use inventory systems and the Vertical Lift Machine (VLM).
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and manual handling requirements.
