Charlestown Toyota is seeking a Junior Parts Interpreter to join our parts department on a full-time basis in Gateshead, NSW. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our service and parts department, ensuring that customers, service technicians, and internal teams receive accurate parts information and support. As a Junior Parts Interpreter, you will be instrumental in identifying, locating, and providing guidance on Toyota vehicle parts, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Please note that full on the job training will be provided so no prior experience is neccessary.

Key responsibilities

• Interpreting and reading technical parts diagrams, catalogues, and documentation to identify correct components for specific vehicle models
• Assisting customers and service technicians in locating the correct parts for Toyota vehicles
• Processing parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate records of parts inventory and stock levels
• Providing exceptional customer service by responding to parts inquiries promptly and professionally
• Supporting the senior parts interpreter and parts manager in daily operations
• Learning and familiarising yourself with Toyota vehicle specifications, part numbers, and technical terminology
• Assisting in maintaining a well-organised and clean parts department workspace

What we're looking for

• A strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications accurately
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple parts inquiries and orders simultaneously
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to diverse audiences
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with database and inventory management systems
• A genuine interest in the automotive industry, particularly Toyota vehicles
• The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accuracy and reliability in all tasks undertaken
• Previous experience in automotive parts or a related field is advantageous but not essential
• A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of Toyota parts and vehicle specifications
