Job summary

North Side Cabling in Sydney is seeking a highly motivated data communication technician to lead data and fibre installations across commercial projects. You will manage projects from start to finish, communicating with clients, supervisors and team members to ensure success.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, a White Card and NSW driver’s license, with opportunities for ongoing training and a supportive team culture within a respected local business.

• Ability to read drawings and interpret job specs.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Data and Optical fibre installations, maintenance, and fault-finding.
• Deliver projects independently with limited management
• Ensure all work meets Australian Standards and safety requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings and job specifications.
• Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, and team members.
• Complete job documentation and reporting as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Data and Optical fibre installations, maintenance, and fault-finding

What You'll Need

• White Card (Construction Induction)

• Current NSW Driver's Licence

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role on commercial projects

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Solid communication and problem-solving skills

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Highly Regarded (But Not Essential)

• Working at Heights / EWP tickets

• Panduit, Certech or Molex experience/certification
