Job summary

Electro Optic Systems in Australia is seeking a junior project manager to support planning, coordination, and delivery of technology-driven projects. You will assist with schedules, RAID logs, reporting, cost and milestone information, and project documentation, helping ensure delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years delivering complex engineering/technology projects (defence/aerospace/high-tech preferred).
• Strong knowledge of PMBOK/PRINCE2/Agile, project controls, and governance frameworks.
• Experience assisting with supplier, vendor, or contract administration activities, including tracking deliverables and change information.
• Exposure to project cost and schedule tracking, milestone updates, forecast support, and routine reporting.
• Ability to maintain RAID and action registers, follow up owners, and escalate risks.
• Proficient with MS Office tools and project scheduling/ reporting tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Planner, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related; CAPM or PRINCE2 Foundation advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Project delivery support: assist planning and delivery of small to medium technical projects, tracking scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Planning & governance support: develop work breakdown structures, schedules, governance packs, and routine reporting.
• Team coordination: coordinate inputs from engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, commercial, and other functions.
• Stakeholder communication: prepare agenda material, capture actions, maintain decision logs, escalate risks or issues.
• Commercial & contract administration: track contractual deliverables, supplier inputs, purchase actions, and change information.
• Cost and schedule tracking: assist with cost tracking, milestone reporting, and variance commentary.
• Risk, issue & change support: maintain RAID and change registers, escalate for review and approval.
• Quality, safety & compliance support: maintain evidence and documentation per EOS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous improvement: contribute to lessons learned and templates to improve delivery processes.
