BlueScope Building Components’ Design Solutions Group seeks a Junior Design Engineer based in Minchinbury to develop concept-level structural designs and show how our steel products can be used in buildings. You’ll work with a dedicated senior mentor to grow your capability in steel and composite structures across varied projects.

You’ll collaborate with national Business Development Managers who are also practising engineers, assisting with design requirements and delivering solutions within

Competenze

• Degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Experience designing building structures.
• Ability to propose design options and explore alternatives.

Mansioni

• Prepare concept-level structural schemes from project briefs demonstrating how our building products fit within a proposed structure.
• Develop structural calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Investigate design problems and explore practical alternatives with the team.
• Use design and review tools as part of project work (RAPT, Strand7, Space Gass, Bluebeam).
• Collaborate with state-based engineering BDMs to clarify requirements and deliver designs on time.
• Manage multiple design tasks across stages and communicate priorities.
