Job summary

Ayers Rock Resort is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT, near Uluru. This role supports the Executive Chef and manages hotel and satellite kitchen operations to deliver high-quality, profitable outlets.

The successful candidate will lead kitchen duties, menu planning, inventory, and staff coordination, blending Indigenous ingredients with modern techniques in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery required.
• Experience in 5-star restaurant operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service.
• Assist the Executive Chef with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Assist senior chefs during tasks like End Of Month, stock take, inventories.

We are currently seeking a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Qualified Executive Sous Chef who is highly skilled and experienced in 5 star restaurant operations lead our Kitchen. This role will see you supporting the Executive Chef and managing the hotel and satellite food and beverage kitchen operations when required, so that they perform as profitable and sustainable outlets, which provide a consistently high product.

Key Duties

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service;
• Assist the Executive Chef with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies;
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently; and
• Assist senior chefs when necessary during regular administration activities like End Of Month, stock take count, inventories etc.
