Job summary

The Y Australia, Futures Academy at Y Schools Queensland (Ipswich Campus), is seeking a passionate Teacher to join our new school community. You will work with a small, multidisciplinary team to support young people needing a different approach to education.

We focus on building trust, belonging, and conditions for every student to attend, learn and progress, with safeguarding and wellbeing at the core of everyday practice.

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR qualifications.
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated learning for at-risk youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging learning aligned to junior secondary curriculum.
• Establish safe, trauma-informed classroom routines and support engagement.
• Differentiate teaching and adjust for disability.
• Collaborate with youth workers and wellbeing staff for holistic support.
• Use data to identify barriers and adapt teaching approaches.
• Provide feedback and maintain student records.
