Futures Academy by Y Schools Queensland, Ipswich Campus is seeking a passionate Teacher to join our new school community. This role supports young people who need a different approach to learning, within a small multidisciplinary team.

We foster trauma-informed, inclusive teaching and provide opportunities to collaborate with wellbeing staff while focusing on student engagement, attendance and progression.

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated learning for young people at risk of disengaging from education.
• Ability to teach junior secondary students with varied literacy and numeracy needs.

Responsabilités

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging learning experiences aligned to junior secondary curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching and adjust activities for students with disability.
• Collaborate with youth workers and wellbeing staff on coordinated support.
• Use learning and attendance data to identify barriers and adapt teaching approaches.
• Provide feedback and maintain accurate student records and reporting.
• Contribute to induction and transitions to help students build confidence in learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop programs and maintain safe, inclusive campus culture.
• Embed safeguarding and health & safety requirements in daily practice.
