Somerset College on the Gold Coast invites applications for a Junior School Pedagogical Coach to join the Junior School Leadership team. The successful candidate will strengthen teaching practice and student outcomes through coaching, mentoring and professional learning, with a focus on implementing the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Qualifications

• QCT registration and teaching qualifications required.
• Demonstrated success as exemplary primary classroom practitioner.
• Strong knowledge of educational research and evidence-based practices.
• Experience coaching or leading professional learning initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the Leadership Team to strengthen classroom practice through coaching, observation, feedback and reflection.
• Support implementation of evidence-informed pedagogical practices aligned to College priorities.
• Facilitate professional learning and model effective teaching strategies.
• Mentor graduate, early career and experienced teachers through coaching and development initiatives.
• Support teachers to plan engaging, differentiated and inquiry-based learning experiences.
• Analyse teaching and learning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Promote consistent approaches to pedagogy, curriculum delivery, assessment and reporting.
• Support the implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning initiatives and innovation projects.
• Coordinate professional learning communities and collaborative planning processes.
• Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous improvement and professional growth.
