• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy, with ability to respond to student learning needs.
• SC2: Demonstrated experience in planning high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating impact of programs on growth.
• SC3: Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching and communicate progress.
• SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
• SC5: Behaviours aligned with Department values; commitment to professional learning to improve teaching quality.
• SC6: Capacity to contribute to a positive, inclusive, high-expectations school culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching and organisational duties as directed by the School Principal.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
