Job summary

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy/numeracy teaching and responding to student needs.
• SC2: Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on student growth.
• SC3: Experience monitoring/assessing student learning and using data to inform practice; providing feedback to students/parents.
• SC4: Interpersonal/communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• SC5: Behaviours/attitudes aligned with Department values; engage in professional learning.
• SC6: Contribute to positive, inclusive school culture with collective responsibility for learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum within the school.
• Undertake other classroom teaching duties as determined by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
