Job summary

G. James is seeking a Junior Residential Estimator to join our Riverview branch and support the team in estimating aluminium windows and doors for residential and commercial construction projects. Training will be provided to learn estimating principles and read plans for basic quantity take-offs.

You will work with our sales teams, interpret customer requirements, and prepare timely quotations using V6 software while enjoying career development within an Australian family‑owned business.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards relating to windows and doors.
• Confident communicating with homeowners, builders and business leaders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong understanding of estimating principles through hands-on training and guidance.
• Learn to interpret customer requirements, relevant standards and specifications to assist with accurate product selection & installation methodology.
• Develop the ability to read plans and complete basic quantity take-offs for quoting.
• Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely quotations and orders using V6 software (training provided).
• Collaborate closely with our sales teams to support strong working relationships and smooth project delivery.
• Participate in customer follow-up and communication to help progress quotations through to finalised sales.
