Job summary

Chandler Macleod's client in Somersby, NSW is seeking a motivated Junior Reliability Engineer to support reliability and maintenance initiatives within a busy manufacturing site. Ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer.

You will collect and analyse maintenance data, assist with investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Mechatronics (or near completion).
• Experience in reliability, maintenance or industrial environments is preferred.
• Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Reliability Engineer to join their manufacturing operation in Somersby. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands‑on experience in reliability, maintenance and manufacturing within a dynamic industrial environment.

Working alongside experienced engineering and maintenance professionals, you'll develop practical skills while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects across a busy manufacturing site.

About the Role

• Supporting reliability and maintenance improvement initiatives


• Assisting with equipment performance and reliability investigations


• Collecting, analysing and interpreting maintenance and equipment data


• Supporting preventative and corrective maintenance activities


• Assisting with engineering and continuous improvement projects


• Maintaining engineering and maintenance documentation


• Supporting SAP and maintenance management systems

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline, or currently nearing completion


• Previous engineering, manufacturing, maintenance or industrial experience, gained through employment, internships or placements


• A genuine interest in reliability, maintenance and manufacturing operations


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills


• Excellent communication and organisational abilities


• A practical, hands‑on approach


• The ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

Experience with SAP or maintenance management systems will be highly regarded but is not essential.
