Job summary

WIP Construction in Cairns, QLD, is seeking a motivated Graduate or Junior Project Manager to join our Cairns-based team. This is a full-time, entry-level role based in Cairns, not remote.

You'll work with experienced PMs and site supervisors to learn how commercial projects are delivered from start to finish. No prior PM experience is required; we value attitude, readiness to learn and practical hands-on engagement.

Qualifications

• Organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a hands-on construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning and coordination of construction projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Assisting with procurement and programming.
• Tracking project costs, variations and progress.
• Attending site and project meetings.
• Assisting with contract administration and project reporting.
• Monitoring project deadlines and following up outstanding items.
• Working closely with Site Supervisors and the project delivery team.
• Communicating with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Learning how projects are managed from contract award through to practical completion.
