Job summary

Central Vic Civil Pty Ltd in Ballarat is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our civil construction team. You will work with Senior Project Managers and Directors to coordinate projects from planning through to completion, gaining hands-on exposure to scheduling, budgeting, contract administration and safety compliance.

You will be eager to learn, proactive and ready to grow with the business, supporting a diverse range of sewer and water infrastructure, roadworks and development

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management.
• Prior civil construction project experience is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Central Vic Civil is seeking a motivated and organised Junior Project Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your project management skills while working alongside experienced industry professionals on a diverse range of civil construction projects.

Central Vic Civil is a locally owned, family-operated business specialising in civil construction and water infrastructure. We have built a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across regional Victoria. Working primarily with State and Local Government authorities and local developers, our projects span sewer and water infrastructure, roadworks, land development and a broad range of civil construction works.

About the Role

Working closely with our Senior Project Managers and Directors, you will assist in coordinating and delivering civil construction projects from planning through to completion.

This role offers hands-on exposure to all aspects of project management, including programming, cost control, contract administration, estimating, quality assurance and site safety. You will work closely with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and delivery of civil construction projects.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, schedules and progress.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure works meet project timelines.
• Assist with tendering, estimating and supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, variations and cost tracking.
• Ensure quality, safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

About You

We are looking for a driven individual with strong organisational skills, a practical mindset and a genuine interest in civil construction.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A relevant degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management.
• Civil construction industry experience (Highly Regarded).
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good analytical, mathematical and computer skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Current driver's licence and Construction Induction Card (White Card).
