Job summary

Ecotech Electrical Solutions in Revesby, NSW, is seeking a junior Project Coordinator to support live electrical, HVAC controls and switchboard projects. You will help keep projects moving daily, coordinate communications, process orders, and assist the estimating team under the Director’s guidance.

This hands-on, office-based role offers mentorship, exposure to procurement, project documentation, and a path to more senior roles as you gain experience in a growing Sydney contractor.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in electrical, construction or trade office role or relevant study.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings or willingness to learn.
• Clear, professional written communication.
• Excellent organization and ability to juggle deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day communications with contractors, clients, suppliers, PMs and subcontractors.
• Log RFIs, variations and site instructions.
• Liaise with site teams to keep jobs on track.
• Schedule labour, deliveries and milestones.
• Maintain accurate Simpro records and documents.
• Prepare weekly project, cost and progress reports.
• Assemble handover and close-out packs (as-builts, O&M manuals, test results).

Ecotech Electrical Solutions is a Sydney electrical contractor specialising in mechanical electrical services, HVAC controls, BMS and in-house switchboard manufacturing. We work for mechanical contractors on hospitals, schools, shopping centres and commercial buildings across Sydney.

We’re growing and looking for an organised, early‑career coordinator to help run our live projects and support our estimating team. You’ll learn directly from the Director, with real responsibility from day one.

About the role

This is a hands‑on, office‑based role at our Revesby office. You’ll help keep our live projects moving (communication, ordering, reporting and documentation) and support our estimating process. If you like being organised, following things through and having variety in your day, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

Project coordination

• Manage day‑to‑day email with Mechanical Contractors, clients, suppliers, PM/staff and subcontractors
• Log and track RFIs, variations and site instructions
• Liaise with our site teams to keep jobs on track
• Schedule and track labour, deliveries and key milestones
• Keep Simpro job records and documents accurate and up to date
• Prepare weekly project, cost and progress reports
• Put together handover and close‑out packs (as‑builts, O&M manuals, test results)

Procurement and ordering

• Request and compare supplier quotes
• Place approved material orders with wholesalers and suppliers
• Track deliveries and backorders, and check supplier invoices against orders
• Help prepare switchboard schedules and build packs for our workshop

Estimating support

• Help monitor the estimating inbox and log new quote requests
• Complete take‑offs from electrical and mechanical drawings
• Prepare quotes in Simpro for the Director’s review
• Work alongside our estimating team

About you

Essential

• 1+ year in an electrical, construction or trade office role, or relevant study (construction management, electrical or engineering)
• Able to read basic electrical drawings, or keen to learn
• Clear, professional written communication
• Highly organised, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Confident with Outlook, Word and Excel
• Full working rights in Australia

Highly regarded

• Electrical trade background or apprenticeship
• Simpro or similar job management software
• Estimating or take‑off experience
• Mechanical services, controls or switchboard exposure
