Job summary

Humanised Group is seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our MSP team in Brisbane. You will gain hands-on exposure to networking, firewalls, wireless networks and Microsoft infrastructure, while supporting a range of client environments.

You’ll troubleshoot and configure network equipment, participate in upgrades and deployments, and work with senior engineers to broaden your skills across Microsoft, cloud and infrastructure. A driver’s licence is required for site visits.

Qualifications

• Commercial IT support or network administration experience.
• Hands-on config and troubleshooting of networking gear.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with firewalls, wireless networks and network connectivity.
• Exposure to Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Windows Server.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical incidents.
• Good customer communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to develop skills across Microsoft, cloud and infrastructure.
• Driver's licence and willingness to attend client sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate ticket records and technical documentation.
• Assist senior engineers with network upgrades and client deployments.
• Attend client sites for technical support when required.
• Participate in rotating support roster as needed.

Junior Network Administrator | MSP | IT Infrastructure

Are you an IT Support Engineer or Junior Network Administrator with hands‑on networking experience looking for your next opportunity?
We're recruiting for an established Managed Services Provider looking to strengthen its networking capability.

This is a hands‑on technical support role where you'll work across firewalls, routing, switching, wireless networks and Microsoft infrastructure, supporting a range of client environments.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable troubleshooting and configuring network equipment, with an interest in continuing to develop their broader infrastructure and cloud skills.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Configuring, administering and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, routers and wireless networks
• Supporting VPNs, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP and network connectivity
• Performing network configuration changes, firmware upgrades and maintenance
• Investigating and resolving network incidents and escalated Level 2 support tickets
• Monitoring network infrastructure and investigating performance or connectivity issues
• Supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server and cloud environments
• Maintaining accurate ticket records, technical documentation and customer communication
• Assisting senior engineers with network upgrades, infrastructure projects and client deployments
• Attending client sites for technical support when required
• Participating in a rotating support roster when required

About You

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous commercial experience in IT support, network support or network administration
• Hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting networking equipment
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP
• Experience with firewalls, wireless networks and network connectivity
• Exposure to Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Windows Server
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical incidents
• Good customer communication and documentation skills
• A willingness to develop your skills across Microsoft, cloud and infrastructure
• A current driver's licence and willingness to attend client sites

Highly Regarded

• Fortinet / FortiGate or Ubiquiti UniFi experience
• Cisco Meraki, Cisco, Sophos, Check Point or similar technologies
• MSP or multi-client support experience
• Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Intune
• ConnectWise, Auvik, IT Glue or other ITSM and monitoring tools
• PowerShell, Veeam or automation experience

You don't need to have experience with every technology listed. We're open to candidates from both MSP and internal IT environments who have genuine networking experience and are interested in broadening their technical capabilities.
