Day One Recruitment is assisting a well-established Southeast Queensland firm to recruit a Junior Litigator for their Brisbane or Toowoomba office. The role offers exposure to a broad disputes practice and direct mentoring from the Director, with frequent court appearances.

You will handle diverse matters across commercial litigation, employment, personal injuries, administrative law, defamation, equity, and asset confiscation, developing advocacy skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifikationen

• Admitted legal practitioner in Queensland with 1-3 years' PAE.
• Relevant litigation experience is essential.
• Confident communicator, comfortable appearing in courts and tribunals.
• Organised, proactive and keen to take on responsibility early.

Aufgaben

• Handle a varied disputes workload across commercial litigation, employment/workcover, personal injuries, admin law, defamation, equity and asset confiscation.
• Appear regularly before Queensland courts, the Fair Work Commission, QIRC, QCAT and the Federal Court.
• Develop advocacy and courtroom skills under direct mentoring from the Director.

The firm

Our client is a well-established, multi-office firm in Southeast Queensland. They are seeking a junior litigator to join their small disputes team, based in either their Brisbane or Toowoomba office.

The role

This role offers a breadth of work that's uncommon at this level. You'll run matters across:

• Commercial litigation
• Employment and WorkCover
• Personal injuries
• Administrative law
• Defamation
• Equity claims
• Asset confiscation

Working directly with the Director, you'll gain genuine hands-on experience and appear regularly before Queensland courts, the Fair Work Commission, QIRC, QCAT and the Federal Court.

About you

• Admitted legal practitioner in Queensland with 1-3 years' PAE
• Relevant litigation experience is essential
• Confident communicator, comfortable appearing in courts and tribunals
