Job summary

Rising Sun Pictures in Adelaide seeks a hands-on Junior System Administrator to support our IT operations for onsite and remote staff. You’ll maintain desktops, assist with system installation and security, and help ensure smooth IT service delivery across all sites.

Experience in IT administration and strong teamwork are valued, with opportunities to contribute to infrastructure projects and process improvements while supporting a creative VFX environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT administration, help desk, or system administration.
• Desktop support and troubleshooting IT issues.
• Basic networking (WiFi and LAN).
• Linux and Windows systems administration.
• Writing documentation and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Desktop administration and support.
• Technical support for local and remote users.
• User account management.
• System installation and maintenance.
• Local network support including patching.
• Monitor and respond to security issues (physical and technical).
• Assist with inventory management, procurement and licensing.
• Proactively assist with facility management and maintenance.
• Create and upkeep documentation including policies and procedures.
• Participate in IT infrastructure initiatives to maximize performance and service delivery.
• Be available for critical server outages and on-call roster.
