LagardèreAWPL External Careers is seeking a junior Motion Graphics Designer to support animation and graphic design for in-store digital screens, campaigns, and social media. You will work under the Senior Graphic Designer, focusing on After Effects while assisting with artwork production and AI-assisted creative development.

You'll contribute to campaigns across digital and print, preparing assets with Illustrator and Photoshop, and exploring AI tools to enhance ideation and production

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years' experience in motion graphics, animation or related creative role.
• Working knowledge of After Effects for basic to intermediate motion graphics.
• Familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation.
• Understanding of animation principles, timing, typography and composition.
• Experience editing and exporting content for multiple screen specs.
• Interest in AI-assisted tools and readiness to learn new tech.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Collaborative attitude and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Use After Effects to animate typography, imagery, products and graphic elements in line with briefs and brand guidelines.

• Edit and assemble basic video content, incorporating graphics, transitions, audio and effects.
• Prepare and export animation files to technical specifications with quality control.
• Maintain organised animation project files and assets with version control.
• Assist with rollout of creative campaigns across print, digital and POS assets.

The Role:

Support the development and delivery of high-quality animated content and motion graphics for in-store digital screens, marketing campaigns and social media. Working under the direction of the Senior Graphic Designer, the role will primarily focus on animation and video content production using Adobe After Effects, while also assisting with graphic design, campaign rollouts, artwork production and AI-assisted creative development.

What You’ll Do:

Animation & Motion Graphics:

• Create and adapt engaging motion graphics and animated content for in-store digital screens, social media and marketing campaigns.
• Use Adobe After Effects to animate typography, imagery, products and graphic elements in line with creative briefs and brand guidelines.
• Assist in developing animation concepts, transitions and visual effects to support campaign messaging.
• Resize, reformat and optimise animated content for different screen dimensions, formats and digital platforms.
• Edit and assemble basic video content, incorporating graphics, transitions, audio and effects as required.
• Prepare and export animation files to the appropriate technical specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Maintain organised animation project files, working assets and version control.

Graphic Design & Creative Support:

• Assist with the rollout of creative campaigns across print, digital and point-of-sale applications.
• Create and adapt graphic design assets using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Support the development of product mockups, illustrations and campaign visuals for presentations and marketing activities.
• Prepare and amend artwork for print and digital production in accordance with brand guidelines.
• Use AI-assisted creative tools to support visual ideation, mockups, image generation and artwork development.
• Explore emerging creative tools and techniques, including AI, to support efficient design and animation workflows.
• Support general creative requests and collaborate with the wider Marketing Team as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Up to 2 years' experience in motion graphics, animation, graphic design or a related creative environment, including relevant study, internships or portfolio work.
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, with the ability to create and edit basic to intermediate motion graphics and animations.
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating and preparing design assets.
• Basic understanding of animation principles, timing, transitions, typography and visual composition.
• Familiarity with video editing, digital formats and exporting content for different screen specifications.
• Foundational graphic design skills, including layout, branding and artwork preparation.
• Interest in AI-assisted creative tools and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies to animation and design tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance.
• A collaborative attitude, willingness to receive feedback and enthusiasm for developing creative and technical skills.
