Job summary

Trill Group in Sydney is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial solar, BESS and electrical projects, from initial take-offs through tender submission and handover. You will review drawings and tender docs, perform detailed take-offs, source pricing, set budgets and contribute to tender submissions while managing multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

The role welcomes candidates at different experience levels and offers a path to leadership

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial solar, BESS and electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, tender documentation and scopes of work.
• Complete detailed material, equipment and labour take-offs.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare project budgets, quotations and tender submissions.
• Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions and opportunities during estimating.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Project Management to develop solutions.
• Assist with project handovers following successful tender submissions.
• Maintain costing information and use project data to improve estimating accuracy.
• Manage multiple opportunities and tender deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

This is a newly created role, and Trill Group is open to candidates at different experience levels, from an experienced Estimator to someone with an electrical or renewable energy background looking to build a career in estimating. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial solar, BESS and electrical projects, from initial take-offs through to tender submission and project handover.

• Review drawings, specifications, tender documentation and scopes of work.
• Complete detailed material, equipment and labour take-offs.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
