Job summary

Renfay Projects in Strathfield South, NSW, seeks a motivated Junior Project Estimator for a full-time role. You will assist in preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, and collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate projections.

Contribute to contract preparation/negotiation, help develop estimating templates, and provide admin support to estimating and contract management teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• 1–3 years in estimating or contract administration in construction.
• Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills; able to interpret drawings/specs.
• Proficient with estimating software and MS Excel/handheld tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing/reviewing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Collaborate with PMs, QSs, and subcontractors to ensure accurate projections.
• Participate in preparation/negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and procurement.
• Contribute to development/maintenance of estimating templates and databases.

Renfay Projects is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Estimator to join our dynamic team in Strathfield South, NSW. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating team within our construction company, contributing to the successful delivery of our projects.

What you\'ll be doing

Assist in the preparation and review of detailed cost estimates for construction projects

Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost projections

Participate in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements

Contribute to the development and maintenance of estimating templates, databases, and other tools

Provide administrative support to the estimating and contract management teams as needed

What we\'re looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field

1-3 years of experience in a similar estimating or contract administration role within the construction industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings

Proficient in the use of estimating software, spreadsheets, and other relevant computer applications

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team

Familiarity with construction contract administration processes and procedures
