Job summary

Controlling Power in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Drafter to join our manufacturing team. You will receive hands-on mentorship and begin drafting 2D schematics in AutoCAD, with opportunities to grow into 3D modelling in SolidWorks while supporting BOM creation and shop-floor fabrication.

• Must have foundational drafting skills and a portfolio from studies or work.
• Exposure to 2D drafting; 3D modelling is a bonus and trainable.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Draft 2D schematics and layouts in AutoCAD with guidance from senior staff.
• Create 3D models in SolidWorks when trained.
• Generate Bills of Materials and liaise with procurement and workshop.
• Maintain and standardise drafting templates, symbols and libraries.
