Job summary

Calleo in Melbourne is seeking a Junior D365 Test Analyst to help ensure complex systems function correctly and integrate smoothly. You will work in an agile environment, creating and executing test plans, and supporting defect management.

You will develop test data, validate system behaviours with stakeholders, and contribute to UAT coordination. The role offers flexible working arrangements and opportunities to grow testing practices while delivering quality government services.

Job description

Overview

As a Junior D365 Test Analyst you will play a key role in ensuring the functionality and seamless integration of complex systems that support essential government services. Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare, execute, and review test plans. Your expertise in manual testing methodologies, defect management, and test data creation will support project delivery and help maintain the highest standards of quality.

This position offers opportunities to lead sections of work within a release, undertake technical research and analysis, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices. You’ll also have the chance to transfer skills and knowledge to team members, ensuring long-term success and capability development.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be Australian Citizens to be found suitable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on design documentation and business requirements.
• Identify and document defects, perform troubleshooting, and support defect investigation and resolution activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts, to validate system behaviours and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide feedback and reports on testing progress, effort estimates, and quality assurance outcomes.
• Adhere to best practice testing methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

• Tools and Technology: Dynamics 365, SQL, Systems Integration Testing
• Demonstrated experience creating and executing manual tests, identifying defects, and ensuring testing outcomes align with quality standards.
• Proven ability to analyse issues, investigate root causes, and provide recommendations to support quality delivery.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, project teams, and developers.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and deliver results within tight timeframes.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and frameworks, including Agile and Waterfall.
