This role focuses on planning, designing and maintaining manual and automated testing across Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure, with an emphasis on automated UI and API regression suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

Laneway Talent is partnering with a Federal Government agency to identify an experienced Functional Automation Tester to support a major digital transformation program delivering modern Microsoft-based business solutions.

This opportunity will see you working within a high-performing Testing Practice responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and usability of enterprise applications built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure technologies. You'll play a key role in both manual and automated testing activities, helping deliver high-quality outcomes across multiple projects and business domains.

About the Role

As a Functional Automation Tester, you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing and maintaining both manual and automated testing activities across web, enterprise and cloud-based applications.

A significant focus of the role is the development and maintenance of automated UI and API regression test suites that form part of continuous delivery pipelines. You'll work closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions across multiple projects.
• Design and execute functional, integration, system, regression and UAT test activities.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
• Support defect management, reporting and test documentation.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Essential Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate experience with:

• Testing Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power Pages, Power Apps and Dataverse solutions.
• Functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing.
• Creating test scenarios, executing tests and managing defects.
• UI test automation using Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro or similar tools.
• API and integration testing using Postman, Newman, REST Assured or equivalent frameworks.
• Azure DevOps, source control, test management and reporting.Integrating automated test suites into CI/CD delivery pipelines.
• Working within Agile environments and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Managing competing priorities across multiple projects and technologies.

Highly Regarded

• ISTQB Automation Certification or similar testing certifications.
• Deep experience across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform and Power BI environments.
• Experience validating APIs, plugins, integrations and environment configurations.
• Experience using Jira and Azure DevOps for test and defect management.

Security Clearance & Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Baseline Security Clearance. Candidates who already possess an active Baseline Clearance will be highly regarded.
