Job summary

John Holland is searching for a Junior Contracts Administrator to join the SA Water Capital Delivery Programme in Adelaide CBD. The role focuses on contracting, subcontractor management, cost forecasting and reporting within a large water infrastructure framework.

You will support Project Managers and Engineers, prepare subcontracts, maintain records, and ensure compliance with contract terms while delivering excellent client and stakeholder service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering or Economics or related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business or Quantity Surveying highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Commercial administration experience in accounting/finance/engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and CRM systems.
• Experience as a Junior Contracts Administrator in construction/engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify contract conditions for prospective projects.
• Maintain a register of subcontractors and manage subcontracts to ensure compliance.
• Support cost forecasting for subcontracts and update project teams on costs.
• Process progress claims and refer disputed claims to the manager for decision.
• Assist in preparation of subcontracts and supplier contracts.
