Job summary

LC Water in Geelong seeks a motivated Junior Civil Drafter to join our hands-on team. You will assist with preparing and updating civil drawings, learning to translate designs into construction-ready plans, and supporting water and wastewater projects.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, develop drafting skills, and contribute to site layouts, foundations, and project coordination in a practical engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Basic drafting knowledge in AutoCAD and 3D modelling.
• Relevant drafting or civil engineering qualification or current study.
• Strong attention to detail and organised approach to work.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
• Good communication and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and updating civil drawings using CAD and 3D modelling software.
• Assisting with site layouts, concrete slabs, equipment foundations, access roads and general arrangement drawings.
• Updating drawings based on engineer mark-ups and design changes.
• Assisting with drawing registers, revisions and technical documentation.
• Working with engineers and team members to coordinate project drawings.
• Developing drafting skills and understanding of civil engineering and construction.
