Job summary

Core-EP in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a Junior Drafter to support our engineering and environmental teams. You will prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for landfill design, gas management, and site remediation, reporting to the Senior Drafter.

This role suits someone early in their drafting career with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Civil 3D. Certificate III or IV in Drafting (or studying toward) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Drafting, Engineering or related discipline, or currently studying toward one.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, with Civil 3D experience or willingness to learn it.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisation skills and ability to manage multiple drawing tasks.
• Clear communication skills and openness to feedback.
• Proactive, motivated and keen to learn in a technical consultancy environment.
• Interest in environmental engineering, civil or infrastructure drafting (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for environmental engineering projects, including landfill design, gas management systems, sample location plans and site remediation works.
• Assist the Senior Drafter with design layouts, infrastructure drawings and as-built documentation.
• Update and revise drawings in response to feedback from the Senior Drafter, engineers and scientists.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and document control records.
• Apply Core-EP CAD templates and drafting standards consistently across projects.
• Work with engineers and scientists to understand technical briefs and site information.

We are seeking a Junior Drafter to support our engineering and environmental teams in Melbourne (VIC). This role suits someone early in their drafting career who has a strong eye for detail and wants to develop their CAD skills in a technical consultancy. You will work closely with and report to our Senior Drafter, preparing drawings for landfill, gas management and site remediation projects.

What you will do
