Job summary

LagardèreAWPL is seeking a Junior Category Manager for Fashion & Gifts to develop and execute the category plan. Reporting to the Head of Fashion & Gifts, you will own key supplier relationships and drive range optimisation within our Australian stores.

You are data-driven, analytical, and comfortable with complex IT systems. The role offers flexible hours, one day per week working from home, staff discounts, and ongoing career development.

Qualifications

• Experienced in overseeing and leading a specific product category autonomously.
• Analytical thinking and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with complex IT systems and data tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute the category plan and ensure its alignment with company goals.
• Maintain and develop key supplier relationships.
• Assist in range optimisation exercises.
• Monitor sales and stock levels and report insights.
• Set up promotions information in company systems.
• Manage rebates and respond to data/promotional queries and issues.
• Lead ad hoc administration projects as needed.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Fashion & Gifts, the Junior Category Manager Fashion & Gifts is responsible for developing the category plan and executing the plan.

What You’ll Do:

As a Junior Category Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring the agreed plan is executed.
• Working with and maintaining key supplier relationships.
• Assisting in range optimisation exercises.
• Monitoring of sales and stock levels.
• Set-up of promotions information in company systems.
• Prioritisation, management & resolution of data conflicts, promotional processing issues and queries, pricing queries, invoicing and store queries, etc...
• Oversight and management of rebates.
• Management of ad hoc administration projects.
