Job summary

VSOS is seeking a friendly Junior Cardiology Veterinary Nurse to join our Cardiology team in a part-time capacity. This is a fantastic entry point for someone early in their veterinary nursing career who wants hands-on experience in a specialist environment, learning from our experienced Cardiology Nurse and Cardiologist.

Qualifications

• Holds a Certificate II, III or IV in Animal Care/Veterinary Nursing, or is currently studying towards a qualification.
• Loves animals and provides excellent patient care.
• Friendly, positive, reliable and hardworking.
• Enjoys teamwork and clear communication.
• Gentle, confident approach to handling animals.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with echocardiograms, including gentle patient handling and restraint
• Preparing and dispensing patient medications under veterinary direction
• Setting up and cleaning consultation and procedure areas
• Assisting our Cardiology Nurse and Cardiologist during consultations
• Helping with patient preparation, monitoring and general nursing care
• Keeping the department clean, organised and well‑stocked
• Providing plenty of cuddles and TLC to our patients

Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Junior Veterinary Nurse to join our Cardiology team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is early in their veterinary nursing career and would love to gain hands‑on experience in a specialist environment. You'll work alongside our experienced Cardiology Nurse and Cardiologist, helping keep the department running smoothly while learning about the fascinating world of veterinary cardiology.

Key responsibilities
