Job summary

Activity Playgrounds, an Australian manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, is seeking a Junior CAD Draftsperson with strong SolidWorks skills to join our design team in Melbourne. You will create and maintain 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and production documents for our playground range and custom projects.

You'll work closely with design and production staff to ensure drawings are accurate, practical and manufacturable, providing precise documentation from CAD through

• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks, including accurate 3D part and assembly modelling.
• Experience with 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD or BricsCAD.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• A willingness to learn and develop your technical drafting skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Desirable: experience producing manufacturing drawings to a high standard.
• Desirable: experience preparing DXF files for CNC routing or plasma cutting.
• Desirable: experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Important About This Role

This is a drafting, detailing and technical documentation role, not a product design or engineering position. You'll be taking approved designs and concepts and turning them into accurate CAD models, drawings, BOMs and production files.
