Job summary

Controlworks Victoria is seeking a Graduate Project Engineer to join our growing BMS team. From day one you’ll work on live projects alongside seasoned engineers, learning how building management systems are designed, programmed, commissioned and delivered across large data centres.

You’ll gain hands-on experience configuring BMS platforms (Niagara), reading drawings, and supporting FAT, testing and handovers, with mentoring and structured career progression in a hybrid work setting across

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Controls Engineering or related field.
• Genuine interest in automation, controls and smart buildings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering BMS and Energy Management System projects.
• Learn HVAC control strategies and building automation principles.
• Configure and commission BMS platforms, including Niagara.
• Assist with programming, testing and fault finding.
• Integrate field devices using BACnet, Modbus and other open protocols.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Support FAT, commissioning and project handovers.
• Work closely with experienced engineers, project managers and site teams.
