Job summary

Ploomo, an international fintech, is hiring a Junior Analytics Engineer in Melbourne (Toorak). This office-based role focuses on building and maintaining data transformations and pipelines to support dashboards and reports.

You will collaborate with the analytics team to implement Snowflake, Fivetran, and the cloud stack, test refreshes, document changes, and help onboard new data sources. Fluent English and strong SQL/Python are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Good SQL and Python skills you can apply to building and maintaining data transformations.
• Some exposure to Snowflake, Fivetran or a comparable cloud data stack—you don't need experience with every named tool.
• The ability to test changes, check refreshes and document your work clearly.
• Basic Git knowledge or a genuine willingness to learn branches, pull requests and code reviews, ask questions and apply feedback.
• Fluent English for clear communication about data requests, checks and issues.

Compensation: AUD $80,000-$90,000 base plus superannuation

• Experience delivering scoped pipeline changes with guidance from a more experienced engineer; architecture ownership or team leadership isn't expected.
• Familiarity with lending, fintech or SME reporting data. Experience from other industries is welcome.
