Ploomo, an international fintech, is hiring a Junior Analytics Engineer in Melbourne (Toorak). This office-based role focuses on building and maintaining data transformations and pipelines to support dashboards and reports.

You will collaborate with the analytics team to implement Snowflake, Fivetran, and the cloud stack, test refreshes, document changes, and help onboard new data sources. Fluent English and strong SQL/Python are essential for this role.

• Good SQL and Python skills you can apply to building and maintaining data transformations.
• Some exposure to Snowflake, Fivetran or a comparable cloud data stack—you don't need experience with every named tool.
• The ability to test changes, check refreshes and document your work clearly.
• Basic Git knowledge or a genuine willingness to learn branches, pull requests and code reviews, ask questions and apply feedback.
• Fluent English for clear communication about data requests, checks and issues.

Mansioni

• Build and maintain SQL and Python transformations and Snowflake data pipelines, using Fivetran for ingestion.
• Test changes to Snowflake Dynamic Tables and other structures, checking that refreshes run as expected.
• Follow the team's Git workflow, including branches, pull requests and code reviews, and document your work so others can maintain it.
• Help onboard new data sources while keeping data models and conventions consistent.
• Monitor pipeline health, flag failures or delays early and help resolve them.
• Work with the Lead Analytics Engineer to deliver scoped data requests for BI and Insights colleagues.
