Job summary

Seek.com.au is seeking a Graduate AI & Technology Developer to join a small in-house digital team. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone starting their career and passionate about AI, automation, and building new services from the ground up.

The role covers AI-native applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure, with mentoring from the Chief Digital Officer and increasing ownership as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field is welcome but not essential.
• Experience programming via university, work, personal projects, or self-directed learning.
• Genuine interest in AI, automation and agentic development.
• Experience experimenting with AI models, APIs, agents or automation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read unfamiliar code.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services for internal and customer-facing applications.
• Develop AI-native services and applications using frontier and open-weight models.
• Build and integrate APIs, MCP servers and tools that allow AI agents to interact with business systems.
• Develop and test AI workflows, agents and automations.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve how the business operates.
